Please note the upgrade and licensing procedure for the 2008 software comprises of several steps and may take up to 2 working days
to complete.
Full instructions for the installation/upgrade procedure can be found
here and we recommend that you either print or have these available to you as you perform the upgrade.
The steps involved are outlined below
1. You must perform the modifications detailed in ECN 180
BEFORE carrying out the software upgrade procedure as the console may not function correctly without this.

2. Download the new program disk from here.
3. Begin the upgrade procedure by running the AVOS extender from the System menu
4. Apply online for a software license by clicking continue at the bottom of this page - You should receive a response from Avolites
within 2 working days.
5. Enter the license key returned to you by Avolites (option B - Loads License Code from USB pen)
6. Press EXIT to restart the desk
7. Press ENTER to burn the new AVOS
8. Upgrade the main console program from the AVOS menu using the program disk downloaded above (option B - Burn new program)
9. Run the personality library installer
and copy/sync with the console's new internal USB memory stick
Before clicking continue at the bottom of this page you need to:
1 Download the latest version of AVOS software and have this on
both a USB memory stick and a floppy disk. Click

2 Ensure your console has been upgraded using ECN-0180 BUM PCB earth connection.

3 Install the AVOS software and output your console’s ID file,
either to a USB pen or note this on paper
4 Accept that:

upgrading is a Genuine Avolites Pearl console, bearing the Avolites
Logo and name. Loading software provided by Avolites into a console
which is not a genuine Avolites console may or will cause damage to
that console and Avolites takes no responsibility for this. Although

free, Avolites Ltd. accepts no responsibility for consequential loss
as a result of installing or using this software.
